Prior to the movie release of I Am Number Four in February, Harper Collins is releasing a movie tie-in edition of the book. You can see the cover above, which features Alex Pettyfer aka Number Four aka John Smith. The movie also stars Glee‘s head Cheerio Dianna Agron as Sarah Hart.

I Am Number Four (read our review here) was written by James Frey and Jobie Hughes under the pseudonym Pittacus Lore, and has been receiving a lot of attention lately as the most high profile product of Frey’s so called “fiction factory.” The story behind the story is fascinating, so read NY Magazine’s article about Frey if you have the time.

Since I Am Number Four only debuted a few months ago, the movie tie-in edition is in hardcover. The title will be released on January 4, 2011.
